PARTNERS EAST COMMUNITY CHARITY

Parkvale Bank’s Partners East Team supports Family Services of Western Pennsylvania (FSWP). This organization provides a variety of programs, services and activities for deserving children, adults and families living in Western Pennsylvania.

PARTNERS EAST OUTREACH UPDATE

Several years ago, Parkvale Bank’s Partners East Team initiated a Consumer Special Needs Fund to benefit FSWP. Since its inception, the Consumer Special Needs Fund has provided emergency assistance to dozens of local families thanks to the team’s financial sponsorship. Partners East collects money by selling Sarris candy products to customers and employees in each of its nine member-branches.

Partners East Book Collection Besides cash contributions, Partners East Team Members volunteer their time and energy to many activities that benefit FSWP. During Community Banking Month in April, the nine Partners East offices collected donations of gently-used children’s books and other entertainment media. Thanks to the generosity of walk-in customers and employees, the Partners East Team collected more than 40 books and several family-orientated DVDs and videocassettes.

On August 12, the team hosted its annual FSWP Summer Picnic, complete with all the trimmings. Approximately 15 children, their FSWP mentors and Parkvale Bank employees were treated to a traditional grill-out, volleyball games, badminton, water balloon toss competitions, relay races, and more.

Continuing a holiday tradition, Partners East team members participated in their annual gift-wrapping party on December 17, decorating over one hundred holiday presents for children who are helped by FSWP.

With the commencement of the holiday season, Parkvale's Partners East Team presented the Family Services of Western Pennsylvania with a check amounting to $1,500, bringing their 2007 total to $5,500.
